At Last!!!
After counting down the days, spending countless hours on documents, travel arrangements, and packing , we are at last ready to go! We are all so excited!!! Tomorrow we leave for Beijing, then Guilin arriving very late on March 8. On Friday, March 9, we will be able to visit the SWI and perhaps see our beautiful little daughter for the first time. We can hardly believe it! It will be hard to leave her-even temporarily..........On Saturday, March 10, we will take a boat trip on the beautiful and legendary Li River. Then off to Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Autonomous Region, by 5 hour train ride on Sunday. Monday is the great day, when An Lin joins our family! The adoption is finalized in China on Tuesday and then a week of bonding --and paperwork-- to obtain all the necessary papers for An lin to leave China. On Friday, March 16, we fly to Guangzhou, where we have the important appointment with the American consulate, that will provide our new daughter with the documents to enter the US. More bonding--and shopping--staying at the legendary White Swan, where almost every American family stays when they adopt in China. Thursday, March 22, we will fly to Beijing and then home.
